Team training – building proficiency in spill response

Ensuring our team is skilled and well-prepared is important to us, and we recently took part in marine spill training led by Auckland Transport's harbourmaster team and Maritime NZ.

During the training, our staff received thorough instruction on handling a range of spill scenarios, mastering the use of essential tools such as skimmers and booms, and adhering to stringent health and safety protocols.

These regular training sessions are pivotal in ensuring that our team remains adept in spill response techniques. Furthermore, several of our crew have undergone specialised training as regional responders, prepared and ready to assist in the event of major oil spills throughout the Auckland region.
