Gold Anchor accreditation

Westhaven Marina achieves five Gold Anchor accreditation

We’re pleased to share that Westhaven Marina has reached a major milestone in marina excellence, earning five Gold Anchor accreditation from the Marina Industries Association. This internationally recognised achievement places Westhaven among the world’s top-rated marinas and makes it just the second marina in New Zealand to receive this coveted status.

What is Gold Anchor?

Gold Anchor is a global marina accreditation programme designed to enhance marina standards and improve the experience of marina users. Similar to the hotel star rating system, marinas are assessed on a scale from one to five Gold Anchors, with platinum being the highest accolade.

To achieve accreditation, marinas undergo a comprehensive independent audit by industry experts, which includes a detailed assessment of 86 criteria covering facilities, operations, environmental practices and customer service. The programme also includes ongoing verification and customer feedback surveys to ensure marinas continue to meet and exceed international best practices.

For our berth holders, this accreditation is an assurance that Westhaven meets global benchmarks for quality and service. The Gold Anchor framework also helps guide continuous improvements, ensuring we refine our operations and facilities to provide the best possible experience for our boating community.
