Africa Day 2024 – 25 May
Join in with Africa Day at The Bases behind Silo Park this Saturday 25 May. Organised by the African Communities Forum, this annual event serves as a cultural showcase designed to unite the African communities of Tāmaki Makaurau and celebrate their rich diversity with the wider community.
With the growing African population in Auckland, events like these are increasingly vital, particularly for our future African Kiwis. Enjoy a day filled with captivating performances, lively dance, bustling markets, and a selection of the finest African cuisine in the city.
The event promises to be a memorable experience for all ages. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to explore and enjoy the richness of African cultures,” says organiser Nadine Nahimana. So don’t miss out on this free, family-friendly event, come rain or shine.
